Hi My Name is Nick

Hi.

I'm Nick.

There! Now THAT'S A BEDA POST with a relatively adequate welcome.

How are you today? No really. Tell me.
k?
K.

Anyway, my day was pretty good. I got to cut the grass in the heat of the day while listening to the first chapter of John Green's The Fault in our Stars. Guys, I'm really excited for this book. From what I've heard from my many listenings, I connect with the main character on some weird level of exact-personality. That sentence is probably incomprehensible. Anyway, if you listen to it, and if you like the hamartia speech, then you'll know how I think.

On a different note, I bought a camera today. It's a Flip ultraHD thing. It's definitely an improvement from my Macbook iSight or my iPhone, so I'm excited. I'm just going to film what ever tickles my fancy with it, along with my hashtagnopants videos. I really like it. It's adorable.

I just returned from coffee with an ex, and that was very....boring. I can plainly see why we didn't work out. Even though we've broken up nearly 1.7 years ago, I can still tell that she doesn't even like me as a person, which is funny because she's the one that wanted to get coffee. Well, I suppose it's good that Sam, Nikki, and Maggie made me an honorary woman yesterday. Good on them.

It's Saturday night, and I'm home alone, but not really bored. I plan on watching a movie on Netflix and listening to music, although not at the same time, because that would defeat the purpose, wouldn't it?

Well, for future blog posts, I want to write about my Introduction to Literary Studies class since that sparked a lot of interest, for I am tired of one-paragraph blog posts.

I think I'm going to end this now, but let me know what you think on any aspect I've written about, and don't forget to tell me how your day was. I hope you're all doing well, because I know that I'm trying to be content. (PReviously, I said contempt >_<)

To-Do Lists and a Request :)

I've realized quite recently that if I want to get somehting done, I should make a To-Do list. After having this realization, my white board on my wall has been filled with goals and tasks for the day/week. It help me get things done.
FOR INSTANCE
MY school work has improved since I started putting them on to-do lists, because I don't procrastonate.
I have PURPLE CONVERSE NOW! Inspired my Paige and friends, I needed new shoes, and after weeks of underlining "Purple Converse" on my list, I purchased them last night!

I do, have a request, blog friends. You see, I have another board on my wall, one that I don't have anything written on. I ask that YOU comment on this blog and give me tasks and goals to complete. It could be ANYTHING. Feel free to offer a bunch of suggestions. I really like this idea, and I really can't wait to complete them.

Thank you for reading this short blog post! You are all awesome, to reward your awesomeness, here's an amazing .gif:

MY SIM IS CURSED

Hi blog and readers,

I'm blogging during the Superbowl, after getting home from a weekend retreat in New Orleans. The retreat was super fun, I learned a lot, and I gained a group of close-knit friends.

MAny of you have seen my tweets or Tumblr posts about my Sims. Well, I'm here to re account them.

SO, last week, as you remember, I bout SIMS 3. Amazing game hands down. I made a character that was really cool and like me, personality-wise. His name is Zack Cloverman, and he lives in a neighborhood FILLED with neighbors that are in relationships. So, I was afraid that he would be forever single. Then, an idea came to my head! I would hire a maid to clean-up after him, and he would woo her. It worked. They hit it of SO well; it was crazy. Well, after they started "going steady," Zack had a birthday--INFO: I started him off as a Young Adult.*-- and now he was an Adult. So, days went by and his life was great until ONE DAY.

One day, his girlfriend came over, and she looked different. I noticed that her hair was a different color, but it didn't phase Zack. He wooed her that day, and I saw it: THE PROPOSE OPTION. Zack was ready. I was ready. It was on. MY mouse hovered over the option, and before I could click it-- Everything Changed. The screen zoomed in, and the woman before Zack had risen into the air, sparkling like Ten's regeneration. Then, I got a new friend, DEATH. HE came and took her away, no matter how hard she begged.

The days that followed were hard for Zack. His mood was in the red, and he put his life into his work. After a week, I decided to have him head over to the "Single's" house to meet another woman. Long story short, he got another girlfriend, and before I could even make him "makeout" DEATH took her away again..

Guys, he kept dating a woman ONE age class higher than he, and they kept dying of old age. So, after he became an Elder, I had him find one more woman, get married, and retire. I'm currently awaiting his death.

Thank you very much for reading and commenting on this post. :D

* In the Sims world, the ages are:
Toddler
Child
Teen
Young Adult
Adult
Elder

PRIZES! The Internet is good/ ALL THE BOOKS/ TRIVIA QUESTION

Guys, I love the internet.

Last night,Dustin and I were beyond bored, as we often are, and we were had no idea what we would want to do for the night.
We asked Twitter.
BEST IDEA.
Our followers suggested a variety of things, one of them being a Blog TV show.
We Listened.
FOUR HOURS
Fun was had.
Callers called in.
Questions Answered.
Sleep Deprived.
Long story short, it gave me a positive perspective on the day I was only making worse by staying up so late. Today, I had to do a ton of homework, not only for this week, but next week as well, since next weekend, I'm going to a camp in Mississippi to help out with some technology stuff. By the way, I'm an English Education Major, and I'm currently taking 3-4 English classes. (4 being Newswriting) And for English courses in college, often times you have to read the daily assignment in order to discuss it in class. Now having all of my English classes on one day, that makes me read ALL THE BOOKS. This is fun, though, since I'm an English nerd, and I enjoy it immensely, but the problem is that it's hard for me to focus 100 % on all the long readings for all of my classes. So, I spread it out over two days. Again, long story short, I just got off of a 60hour homework/ Exam and Essay preparedness binge, and I'm really excited for tomorrow's lack of work.

TIP: To avoid procrastinating while home-working or studying, don't go on Tumblr.
BUT, not going on Tumblr during a 6 hour Homework-A-Thon leaves you with a whole lot of tumbling ("a whole lot" varying with your number of followers.) One of the tumblr posts I saw was THIS THING

I got really excited when I listened to this, and say the accompanying .gif, but I couldn't for the LIFE OF ME, remember what movie I remember this from. I've since, figured it out, but I leave it to you, to figure it out and to add it to your comment below. If you do, you'll win the SOON-TO-BE-EXISTANT-PRIZE-OF-THE-WEEK. Which, will be sent to you at an undetermined time in the near future. Talk about incentive, huh?!

Well, I repurchased Sims 3 yesterday, so I'm off to some well deserved life-guiding.

I hope all is well!

Goodnight/GoodAfternoon/GoodMorning!

P.S. (Comment- ResponceISH)
Everyone at the BlogTV show, I love you! xD

Welcome back to the internet, PAige. (Don't you EVER leave without telling me, or Whimsy)
Celine, I owe you a letter
Caroline: OUR Vidcon will be TONS better!
Whimsy: I still need to get past Episode one of TW >_>
Maggie: Congrats on Shiny-Phone

Week 4: Many new things!

Welcome to Saturday!!
Also, all week, you see......

I GOT AN iPHONE!
This is the first time ever that I have a cell phone with internet on it, and I'm going crazy with twitter and facebook and the like. This week has been pretty crazyyy.
Schedule tiem!

Monday: School Work Day--> I read ALL THE BOOKS.
I had a bunch of reading assignments for class.
Tuesday: Dinner?--> I went to dinner with a nice friend.
And after, we failed to find Purple Converse :(
Wednesday: iPhone--> 10 A.M.
Woke up, got a new phone, went to one class.
Thursday: SCHOOL--> 8:30-8:00
Thursdays are my DEATHDAYS in which I have class FOREVER (but I like it)
Friday: REST--> I rested.
And I stayed up until 3:30 A.M. with Dustin, watching Community.
Saturday: ORGANIZE--> and TENNANT
In an hour, my friend and I will get sushi and watch David Tennant in Hamlet!!

*************************************************************************************
Okay, so. This week, I'm not going to be able to fulfill my promise on posting about my top_ Fiction Characters, but I will eventually.*
Before this post ends, I'm going to tell you about how Nick gets CHEAP sushi.

About a year ago, I had sushi bindges, in which I tried ALL THE SUSHI from town. Once day, I wandered into a Chinese Buffet, grabbed a To-Go box, and I picked out various rolls. I headed to the register, wondering how much money I was about to spend. Well, the way this place charges for take out is by weighing the box, all the while keeping it closed. o_o Guys, sushi is lightweight. I barely paid $2 for the rolls, and when I would return I would come to pay $3.85 for like 20 rolls. So, tonight, in preperation for my Tennant-watching, I shall go up to that buffet LIKE. A. BOSS.

Well, that's it for today, I hope this blog has been entertaining for everyone!
See yall soon!

(I read and hug every comment)

Week 3 In which a surprise is revealed.

Well, here we are 3/52. Goodness.

I started my second semester on Wednesday. It looks to be a good half of the year. My favorite class so far is basically John Green's videos of critically analyzing novels, but for a whole semester. So, I'm pretty giddy at the thought.
Recently, Whimsy wrote a blog post completing and suggesting the challenge of listing your favorite fictional characters. One challenge that I will wait until next week to accomplish, because I feel that I need to think of my choices in great detail, so I can write them in minuscule one. Deal? Okay? Okay.

Let's see. Today is Sunday. MLKDay Eve. The day of John Green's emailing of his Zombie-Apocalypse Novella. The day my friend Dustin and I sit down to re watch The Social Network (good movie.)

This week, my schedule is.... blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah
blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah
blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah blahblah. You're not listening to this, you're just skimming to see when I will reveal the surprise I promised you last week. Well, faithful readers, HERE IT IS:

First, I saw this picture on the internet:

Almost forgot BOW '11!

Throughout the past week, I have been pushing many a person to participate in BOW '11, and here I was, last night freaking out at three A.M. thinking that I had forgotten to blog for the week. See I was so used to the BEDA blogging schedule of Sun-Sat. But, here we are! Sunday night of the "official" Week 1 of BOW '11. Let us get this party started.

STORY TIME!

So, around four years ago, Nick discovered the amazingness that is Dr. Horrible . He showed it to friends, they liked it, and the love in their hearts grew. One friend in particular loved it so much that whenhe became a senior in High School, he tried to put on a performace of the show. But, it didn't work out. But the fire within his heart still grew, and only one year later he, alongside a theatre troop, would perfom it at a city theatre and he played the lead. I went to see it saturday night and it was amazing! I've seen it thousands of times and it was crazy funny on the stage, especially with their own daptations of the props. (Example-- The Carrier van was played by an actor in a wheelchair and the wheels were other characters. The entire scene they smiled when being saved... it was great!) <-- word jumble sorry.
The last thing that I'll say is that when Dr. Horrible is using his remote (phone) to control the van, on stage, my friend Erik, texted me the following-- "Hey! I'm texting you from the stage!" I was excite.

Okay, so I love the fact that we can post blog posts more than once a week, and I might do that soon! I start school wednesday, so we'll see how thnings go along. Also, next post I'll have a secret surprise. :D Sorry, if my blogging skills are shabby, but procrastanation leads to horrible work.

UNTIL NEXT TIME,
"Keep dancing friends, keep dancing."

The One with BOW '11

2011?! Welcome!
This is BOW '11 (Blog Once Weekly in 2011,) created by the fabulous Whimsy

So, I'll be coming at you in textual form once a week all year long. IF you wish to participate, do go read Whimsy's blog I've linked. By the look of things, this year will be VERY promising. Also, I'll use the blogging to shed light on where the heck I've been since September of 2010 for those who've already read my blog. But, to the newcomers--> Hello!

Nick's rules for BOW '11:
1. Don't Half-Arse your blog posts like some of those BEDA posts
2. The more comments you receive on your blogs, the more comments you leave on THEIR blogs

And those are my personal rules, in accordance with WHIMSY LAW:
1.) One post per week AT LEAST.

2.) A week shall be defined as Monday through Sunday.

3.) A post shall be defined as some bit of writing...just a bit.

4.) Anyone who wants to join in is MORE THAN WELCOME.

Welp, here's to a great new year *raises glass*
I shall see you next week (and for all you know it could be tomorrow!)
xD

SKYPE PARTAY!

Whoah! Is this seriously the first time that I have blogged since BEDA? Well, this mustn't be correct... This has to be Correctified! Well, let's see.... It's only the first paragraph, and I have already:
1. Made up a word
2. referenced BEDA
3. Made a list
I MUST BE BACK BABY!
These express how happy I am to be back:

Okay, enough gif spam.

My first 16 days of september have been filled with college, exams, studying, buying/playing the newest Kingdom Hearts game, watching Youtube, and making an epic video for Youtube:

But this is not quite why I have gathered you here. I have gathered you here to tell you a fun story! So, yesterday, i was thinking about this blog on my walk to my night class, whereupon I had to tie my shoe. "I need a funtastic picture," I thought. After tying my shoe, I looked at my leg and noticed the most fantastically square rainbow on my leg! It was so beautiful and full and completely bright! I thought, "Ohh goodness! I need to take a picture!" I tried taking one with my phone, but my camera wouldn't capture it. To put this image in your head. Think of a man in bright yellow shorts, stretching his leg outward on a bike rack, like a ballet dancer on a bar, and i'm contorting my body to take a picture. Then, someone walks up behind me, so I quickly start waking forward. About a minute later, I turn around to see a snickering Abercrombie model smiling and raising his eyebrows. "It's for my blog, "I said. And off into the building I went! :D

Okay, it's the moment you've all been waiting for..............

I will make another post with the FINAL SKYPE PARTY Rules and Details! Think of it as an epic chatroom one night soon!! :D

BEDA 31 REALLY?

Well.....
I guess.....
This is.....
Goodbye.

NOT!

BEDA is over, but blogging is not!

Why was I so sad today then?
I was sad because I was no longer going to be forced by my own responsible self to write everyday! I was sad because I would not get to share my thoughts with you guys, and get the most positive feedback ever! I was sad because I'm really going to miss reading blog posts everyday! I was sad because I feel like I haven't commented on enough blog posts!

No matter. I never took BEDA for granite (correct spelling?) I felt that this whole experience has been a gift, privilege, etc.

So, as I said, Blogging will not end here. I plan to blog hopefully once a week at least with a nice topic!

Thank you guys for putting up with me! Even through those days where I did less that I should've, but even for the ranting days.

BEDA had a purpose, it made me more comfortable with written expression, and it settled my nerves for college and life. That you all.

=D

BEDA 30 Three Parts!

Today, I had to go to the Post office to pick up my Geology Textbook. When I arrived, there was a group of people waiting outside, so I waited in line with them. About five minutes went by, so I taped the shoulder in front of me and asked, "When do they open?" The lady stared at me and said, "They are open. This line is for us mail carriers pickin' up our truck keys."

xD
Nick: Mailman wannabe apparently.

Good afternoon, Bloggers!
Well, I guess it doesn't have to be afternoon when you read this. In fact, even just due to time zones, it makes the "good afternoon" entirely more complicated to predict it accurately. But, I guess blogs ARE Omnipresent. They are read right now AND in the upcoming months of me reading BEDA posts. On the note of Blogspot's omnipresencity, this site is like a drop box where time is irrelevant. When creating a post, you can chose the exact date and time that the post will be recorded as "officially posted." This means that if I wanted to, I could make this blog post that i am currently typing listed as old as three months ago! Wait. I was wrong. That doesn't make Blogspot's posts entirely irrelative to time, because the Blog is in itself, read at one point in time. It can't be read any possible time, just POSTED any possible time. Does that make sense?

Anyway, how are you? This is the penultimate post of BEDA. Tomorrow will be a reflective day, but as for today, it is one of procrastination. Today was boring and stressful. I need excitement. Hmm... where do I find EXCITEMENT POWDER? I'll be on the hunt. Any suggestions?
I hope you enjoyed this 3-part blog.
It had everything you ever needed!

1. An anecdote.
2. A reflection on Blogspot's/ Blogging's presence in time.
3. Nick's feelings.

Have an excellent night! (or whatever time you read this :0)

Today, I just felt, not necessarily mopey, just.... I don't know.
I think it's a feeling on introspectivity.

What the heck, when did this happen!?

You guys don't now ANYTHING about me!

Well, actually, you know a lot about me.

BEDA 28 Saturdays?!

Sometimes I feel like Apple has like a huge warehouse filled to the brim with products that they’re going to release over the next 20 years. Apple watches, calculators, touchscreen televisions, etc. Ya know the iPad? Yeah, it was probably thought of back when Windows XP came out, and THAT STINKS.

Today’s blog is going to be MINI RANT!

I hate politics. I don’t really see how anyone can argue for or against another point. There is SO MUCH material that I would have to learn for me to form one singular, solid opinion.

When I was younger, I believed that Math was created only to make my entire middle school experience absolute torture.

I am only sometimes intrigued by science. I mean, I like the idea of Biology more than I like mitosis.

I absolutely LOVE all things English. When I was in high school, when my teacher gave us worksheets of dissecting a sentence, I would ask for more, just so I could have fun!

Another thing that I only sometimes like is Sports. I like to watch and play friendly football, but I don’t like actual official teamed sports.

I hate when I listen to music for a straight month, and I get tired of the artist, but then my friends get into the band, and I am forced to listen to them! :D

I like to smile.

I don;t like it when my desktop (computer is cluttered)

I find rants annoying!

That was my quick blog for the day!

Love yall!

Yay Saturdays!

BEDA 27 BEST DAY EVER

Today had one goal. The goal? To have the best day ever.

I woke up.
I danced.
I played sang some DFTBA music.
I poured myself a bowl of Apple Jacks
I ate my breakfast while watching TWO episodes of Boy meets World.
I went into my room to get dressed/ready for school.
While doing so I watched A Very Potter Sequel for the Millionth time.
I whistled on my way to the bathroom, where I spent time on my dental hygiene.
I grabbed my backpack, and headed off to school, while listening to my Mountain Goats mix CD.
I had a 12:00 class today, and that's a tad little-bit suckish, since on Friday, most classes end at noon. I was happy, however.
I sat in the hallway across from a girl, while I read The Hunger Games.
This girl is very cute, and smiley.
We always see each other, smile, and say "hey."
Since today was my Best Day Ever, I said "Hey" first, and we chatted.
Then, in class (Education Class,) I took notes on exciting Education things!
Also, I got to choose what school I want to observe at this semester! Old High School FTW
After class, I dawned my iPod headphones and walked to my car, drove the backroads home, and ate a good lunch.
I watched some 30 Rock, while reading blog posts, and then I went to Dustin's house.
We went to some shops, I bought Twilight for my mom, and I got myself some Play-Dough.
Then, I ate a Subway sandwich for supper, and went to Baskin Robbins (the place where I worked for two years.)
While in there, I told an old friend hi, got a free 7-UP, and left.
Now, we are at a friend's new apartment on campus, playing old school Nintendo 64 games.
This was a good day.

Sometimes, I feel like if you start off the day with a mindset of "suck" the day will go accordingly. But, if we think in advance and plan our day positively, like with the music listening or submitting myself to watching things I adore, then we are happy. If the controllable things in our life are made positive, then we'll have a better outlook on the uncontrollable. EXAMPLE: If I listen to Alex Day BEFORE class, then a class, where I am in school 50 minutes past 95% of the other students, then the class will be nicer than normal. I plan on taking on my days to come with this uplifting spirit. I just learned something from BEDA. Awesome.

My challenge to you guys, is to take a day in the near future, and make sure you fill it with things that make you happy, in between the uncontrollable things, that way it will be a positive day.

I'll see yall tomorrow!

SKYPE UPDATE:
MAybe some time in September, I'll Blog and we can have a comment thread on good times for everyone?

First Thought of the Day: "This is the BEST. DAY. EVER."

BEDA Thoughtful Thoughtfulness Thoughts

So, I was cutting the grass this evening, listening to my Looking For Alaska Audiobook (As you do,) and I was stricken with great enthusiasm for NaN&$*#&$

> Are you talking about Nanowrimo again?
>>Um maybe. Who ARE you?
>I'm a troll.
>>Oh
>Yeah
>>Hmm
>Indeed
>>So, why-
>STOP TALKING ABOUT NANOWRIMO IN THIS BLOG. THIS IS FOR BEDA, not promoting your Nanowrimo account!
>>Well, I'm not promoting it; I just think about it a lot.
>Rahh! Your blogging days are almost over! You're going to regret this come September!
>>But...But...Bu.... WHAT ABOUT SKYPE?!
>Skype?! Why....... That just might be crazy enough to work!
>>But, we need to somehow coordinate some future day in time, where we can chat with the readers in September.
>Skype appointments are hard though!
>>We can make it work?
>We CAN!
>>Deal?
>DEAL!

So, College is tiring and crazy still. I'm still in the mental stages of story exposition. Also, I've been generally despondent lately. I love the encouragement you guys give me, though, don't think that I hate that stuff; it's just that I have had bad days recently. So IT'S DECIDED:

TOMORROW WILL BE THE BEST DAY EVER!!!!
I Don't know how I will make it so, but I will write down my events, and the blog post resulting from the great event will be grand!

So, to everyone reading this on Thursday night or even on friday, make SURE to make Friday our GREATEST DAY EVER!
Leave suggestions in comments for SKYPE PARTY AND GREAT DAY IDEAS!!!

WOO!
-Nick
